I have just finished the class taught by Joseph Bramante of TriArc. I am a full time passive investor and I found the course invaluable. Every class gave me new insights and created several new due diligence questions to add to my questions for new sponsors. Already I have ruled out several sponsors due to discrepancies I caught from information learned in this class.
Joseph breaks things down into easy to understand concepts for those like me who do not have a financial background. His experience as a sponsor himself, reviewing hundreds of offerings gives him unique insights for what to look out for when vetting a sponsor.
When looking for a new sponsor I am looking for someone who is conservative in their assumptions, under promises and over delivers, and is aligned with investors interests. Joseph has shown me ways to vet sponsors for these qualities. During the class he has been very interactive with all of the students and spent all the time need to answer all questions with clarity.
I highly recommend his class and plan on taking future classes he may offer.

I wanted to thank you for the excellent underwriting course. The first session alone was worth the price of admission!
I loved the format of the class: going down the P&L statement, with a definition of each line item followed by an explanation on how each will impact the performance of the deal. I’d always wondered how sponsors account for loss to lease and physical vacancy on value-add projects, and now I have a very solid framework to evaluate assumptions on these items.
Your examples, along with common pitfalls you’ve seen, were extremely helpful. One of my biggest take-aways from this class is the importance of precision in underwriting of large multi-family deals. I’m already applying what I learned in this class on investment opportunities I’m evaluating. This course is a must for passive investors.

As a new passive investor, I have been struggling to figure out how to make good choices. Joseph’s course is just what I was looking for. I appreciate his “tell it like it is” approach and targeting a level of detail that is easy to digest. The course has already steered me away from one bad deal, so this was time and money well spent.

Just a quick note to tell you that your course was great!! I really enjoyed it and gained a lot of knowledge and information that immediately I can put into practice. What I liked the most is that you shared things that otherwise we would not know how to do or calculate, but you explained it in a way that it was easy to understand. This is what I was looking for to have better tools to analyze deals as an LP. Definitely it was worth it to wake up every session at 2am my time to listen to your class and still I will be able to review the recordings. Please keep me in the loop for your new courses as they become available.
